By definition, 10MP phone cannot be as grainy as a 3MP phone. You do realize when someone says 10MegaPixel phone what they mean right?.
10 million pixels per square inch (before the tech police come out, this is a basic definition. I am aware an image does not have to be a square).
its not 10 million pixels per square inch. 10 million pixels is the overall size of the image ie x by y, at about 150-300 dpi, i think, but its defo not 10mp per inch^2
but anything above 3-5 mp in a phone becomes a useless waste because the sensor is stupid small.

It certainly has a huge amount to do with market share and therefore return on investment in creating malware.
It all used to be done for fun and a little destruction and now its about the $
Windows = ~87%
OS X = ~6%
IOS = ~2%
Linux = ~1%
Android = ~0.5%
So...the malware authors can either put all the time and effort into an amazing exploit and payload that successfully owns 100% of the OS X devices in the world or they can bash something together that only needs to work out on a very small percentage of windows machines.
Criminals are not generally the hardest working people in the world :)
Which option do you think they are most likely to take?
But there will come a time...simple as that!
For now OS X is a nice place to be and with knowledge as an end user it is extremely easy to avoid being exploited.
Certainly no need for AV unless you are situated in a company that mandates all end points must have AV regardless of OS and even then traditional AV is dead and should be combined with a complete endpoint security solution.
I highly recommend getting your firewall and little snitch running on your mac to get some security and visibility of exactly what is happening under the hood.

bleeding hearts of the world!!! UNITE!!! lol!
HEADSHOT! FTW!
i have no sympathy to people that have obviously no respect for human life. they brought loaded weapons to use them if needed with lethal consequence. now they got wiped out. Good. i hope they screamed as they went into the wall with their friend's mind on their clothing. they made memories.

Enough with the dance. Release the product already.
Every cell phone on the market sucks in some way. I'd love to have an Apple phone which simply just works.

Is the Program to read it Mac only or is there a PC version??

A Mac is a Personal Computer (PC), so is a desktop running some Linux flavor.

Technically I was only 20 over the limit (I'm in Michigan). Also, radar detectors are a great thing:)
EDIT: @mrsir2009 - no that lady was doing 5mph under the speed limit in the passing lane, while not even passing. Traffic in the right side lane was passing her. She then proceeded to brake check me and travel under 55mph (the posted minimum in Michigan). More like wtf is wrong with her.
-Don
So it was wrong for her to do it, but when you do it, you are just teaching her her place "dang place on the road." Of course you don't see anything wrong with your behavior cause you are such a safe driver who was taught to "be aggressive and intimidate" other drivers when you feel that you are wronged in some fashion.:rolleyes:
Hopefully, you won't do that to someone who has a gun in their car.

So all Greenpeace did was hand out leaflets in areas other than their stand...
Heck, every trade show I ever go to has girls with their tits half hanging out wondering the halls handing out leaflets nowhere near their particular stand.
Yes, when you are a vendor at a show there are strict rules. It's in the contract. If you purchase a booth you have to stay in that booth, period. Booths are available on first come first serve basis usually with returning vendors getting the right of first refusal for booths they have held previously. The ends and large booths near foot traffic are more expensive and they command a higher price. Some shows, fewer today than before, allow for "cigarette girls" or "strollers" but the vendor pays for this as they would for any other perksand they are not cheap. They are generally given a specific time period in which they may walk the floor (if in costume they need a chaperone). They are not allowed to transact business but hand out "freebies". According to the story Greenpeace only signed up for a booth. All contracts I have seen say you'll get thrown out if you don't obey the rules.

Why is U2 so big with iPods anyways? The only group to have their own iPod. :confused:
(I don't mean to be disrespectful to the U2 fanboys out there)
Could be because Bono bought Steve Jobs apartment in New York City from him.

I am not really crazy about this design. Having to slide the click-wheel down every time I need to use my phone doesn't sound like fun (plus, what would this thing look like open? ...what I'm picturing is ugly).
I was hoping for an iPod Nano form factor with a numerical keypad... nice an simple.
do you dial numbers every time you use your phone? I have a samsung t809, and i don't slide it down most of the time, unless i want to answer it that way. It's kinda fun, but it's not required to answer the phone.

oh yeah, this plays aac's and any song as a ringtone. so that makes ringtone purchases 0.00 if you own the song already... what a concept!

OK hear me out on this one - WHAT IF Apple, in all its wisdom and foresight, avoids the format war (Blu-ray vs HD-DVD) altogether by NOT using a physical format? Of course, they're backing up Blu-ray...but in order to avoid putting their eggs in that basket, and seeing that consumers are hesitant to invest in either format...they do something GENIUS like sell DOWNLOADABLE HD movies on their iTunes store and release a stream-to-TV device!
This would attract everyone because it:
1) does not require an investment in a high-def player.
2) allows for lower prices to purchase/rent movies.
3) basically lets Apple avoid having to take sides by investing millions and millions into new disc drives
4) lets consumers watch the content on their computer and TV. and if they wish to invest in a Blu-ray burner, they can. If they don't, they can still enjoy HD movies!
eh? EEEHH?

In the market for a 17" to replace my 2007 version. Not interested in getting rid of the optical drive as I still use it to watch DVDs on it (have Netflix and the streaming content is far from being complete). The current one seems to have everything that I'm looking for. I'd like a SSD but they are just too much $$$ now.
DiY SSD, works great and love the performance gains. Ditch the Optical Drive already its 2011. :apple: remember the Floppy ditch with the original Bondi Blue iMac, make it happen with the 2011 iMac and SuperDrive. :D

You are probably new here, right? :rolleyes:
Yes I am. And fairly new to Apple (switched to Mac in 2006 and iPhone in 2007).
Does being new here mean that I have to learn how a corporation that just recorded at record net income of $5.23 billion is "DEAD"? If so, please enlighten me.
I have worked in finance for 35 years and only hold a Bachelors degree in Buisiness, but I'm sure from your response that you (and others here) know more about business than me. So please explain how the earnings report is an indication of impeding doom.... I'm always willing to learn from a group of experts!

Crime doesn't pay, scumbag. Glad the guard wasn't hurt over these losers trying to smash and grab their way to to a quick payday.
To everyone condemning the guard for DOING HIS JOB, make sure you read the article, and know the facts before doing so. If someone is shooting at me, you better bet that I'll be shooting to kill. Kudos to him; hopefully he isn't too mentally shaken up to continue living a normal life.

Targeting is one thing. Successfully attacking is a completely different animal. They've been targeting OS X since it came out a decade ago. Successful attacks range from barely a blip on the radar to nonexistent, depending on how you define success. There's no reason to believe that attacks on IOS will be half as successful as the pitiful attacks on OS X.
