Okay, called Crucial and they will replace, but if I have problems again I'll return for refund and just bite the bullet and buy Apple ram :(

Congrats on the jump. Like you, my first computer was an IBM 8088. Been into computers since. Jumped back and forth over the years. Jumped back when OS X hit v3. After selling my Mac pro's, I bought a 2010 mini. Limited but still useful. Don't think you will have to much of a learning curve. Have fun.

Make sure when you add the images to your project that the "Copy items into destination group's folder (if needed)" option is checked.

Ha, ha, one of the first cases made for the iPhone 4. Very poor design. Camera interference, back scratches up terribly, fit is lousy etc.

I was hoping someone could let me know if they have the Frank Sinatra 24x36 Think Different Poster. This is the one where he is standing in a grey suit in front of a mic and a music stand. Thank you for anyone's help!
Strangely enough - I do. I have a few 'Think Different' posters that I've been considering selling (including framed Feynman and Henson posters, and an Edison poster - and I swear that somewhere I have the Miles Davis poster...)
I haven't snapped photos yet, but the Sinatra poster is one that I never got around to framing; it's in a poster tube in near mint condition, only a few wrinkles on the edges from when I bought it ~ 10 years ago. It's been in the tube since then. (No pinholes, no lamination.)
Post a note if interested (just noticed that "PM" isn't a function here!) - I'm looking for ~ $250 for the poster; but will entertain reasonable offers.

Interesting point, eh?
Perhaps the purpose of that badge is to show the minimum OS requirements then? How many of these tips appears in Panther and are no longer valid?

If this one laptop absolutely must last you till then I would wait. But if you could sell the iBook you would get now to put towards a Rev. B or C intel, then do that.

As the topic title says I'm just trying to find out if there is a way to find out if a specific iPod Touch is jailbroken.
To explain things a bit I got a 4th Gen Touch for Christmas and so did my mother-in-law. She isn't really into technology and I personally don't think she will get much use out of the device but none the less she got one and I was showing her some of the features. Turns out someone she knows told her about Jailbraking so I explained to her that she would never really benefit from the features of jailbraking but she said she lent the iPod to this friend who was going to do something to it for her. Now she got it back but I don't know if there is a way to tell if they jailbroke it or just installed apps from their account. She has a number of apps on there, most of which are free apps anyway so I'm not entirely sure what her friend did.
Would the Firmware indicate that it has a jailbroken FW installed?
It drives me crazy when she does this, she lets others on her devices and they download tons of crap that she will never use. They did the same thing with her PC and her Netbook which I've had to restore both of them a number of times because of all the crap others installed on them.

liquid spills void the warranty. You've got nothing to lose now by taking it apart and trying to clean it up.

Shouldn't that be:

It is case sensitive you know!
What happens if you try to find something that isn't implemented by yourself.

Yeah I know I can add ram to the 2008. I guess it does make more sense to just replace my 4gb with 8gb and then add a vertex 3.

Hi,
My iMac G5 20" Rev. B ir experiencing so called "pixel-dancing". In essence, that is when bunch of pixels flash and dissapear randomly mostly on black or dark colors.
It seems to be not so common problem, at least google didn't find anything what can help me.
Anyhow, the "pixel-dancing" starts usually when iMac been runing for half an hour or so, but then again, it's not regular - sometimes it happens, sometimes it's not, though it seems to happen more often when wathing movies for some period of time (at this point iMac is running about 70 C in fullscreen mode) or working in Photoshop. As I mentioned before, it only happens with solid black, or dark colors.
It's really annoying. I contacted our Apple reseller, they suggested to do full time Apple Hardware test - did that, all items passed sucessfully. Anyway, reseller contacted Apple and now is waiting for an answer, so in the meantime, maybe you guys could help? Any solutions, causes or fixes?
I made a small video clip showing the problem, here (http://www.ksp.lv/tmp/imacg520inch_blinking_pixels_02.mov). It's about 30 MB. Sorry about the quality, but the "pixel-dance" is clearly visible. In the video that is Photoshop, with an picture of skating ramp.
Thanks a lot.
