Reminds me of the whole iTunes logo redesign debacle. You'll get used to it.

Hi fellow forumers.
I am going to San Francisco in a few days and will be staying there for 4 months(work/travel). So I would like to ask you guys and gals: What to visit, where to shop, where to club, where to eat? Is it an expensive city? Any kind of tip you can give me.
Thanks for the advice.

Hi everyone!
I am in a fix. Please help.
I wanted to use some pictures from my mac which are inbuilt in its templates like brochure/ poster templates .
My question is - can I use them for commercial use or is there any copyright issue with that.
Any guidance will be of great help.
Thanks

Try taking that RAM out and putting the original Apple RAM back in (if you still have it). Atlease this will tell you if it is the RAM or not.

Why are they G3, G4, and G5 instead of 750, 7400 and 970?

In general, the iOS platform provides a larger experience base with ads vs. paid. For example:

I suggest searching the iPhone/iPad Programming forum for similar threads:
http://forums.macrumors.com/forumdisplay.php?f=135
Also be aware that the Mac App Store has a different profile than the iOS App Store. Even on the iOS App Store, iPad apps have a different profile than iPhone and iPod touch.

Does anyone know of a good web resource or book available to learn more Unix code?OS X Panther for UNIX Geeks (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0596006071/qid=1106898038/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/103-6834552-6960665?v=glance&s=books)

The O'Reilly Mac Dev Center (http://www.macdevcenter.com/mac/) web site has lots of good info and tutorials, as does the Apple Developer Connection (http://developer.apple.com/) site. There are a bunch of other decent resources as well, but those should get you started. For just basic UNIX stuff, you could probably use any standard book on BSD UNIX, though it's better to get a OS X-specific one if you can. When you get serious about it, you can install the developer tools from the Panther CDs (included).

Yes, iCal and addressbook both sync with google. Google has instructions for setting it up. They all sync.
For comparison, I have iCal at home sync with google calendar, and my iphone calendar syncs to the google calendar as well. It all plays pretty well together (some hinky features with alarms, but basically works).

Today I connected my iPhone 4 to my Bose speaker that has a specific connection for iPhone, and to my surprise I started getting pop ups to dismiss saying that the device is not compatible. I continued trying until it started to play the music. This was not happening with my iPhone 3gs or recent iPod Touch. Is there something I'm doing wrong? I thought the iPhone 4 was updated and more compatible to issues like these.

What I'd like to see is something that will format CD-RW's so you can read and write to them just like a floppy. Simular to Roxio's Direct CD on Windows
True that. And ditto for faking it using multi-session and CDRs.

I currently have a blackberry I bought in November so I passed 18 months in May of this year, AT&T told me I was eligible to upgrade in June but when I tried to do so through Apple's website, they said I have to wait until July 26th.
I figure that means I have to go through AT&T in store and I was wondering at what point in time do you guys think it'll be (fairly) easy to get one. I was thinking maybe 2 weeks from now that could be the case, but perhaps I'm just being optimistic. Any guesses or insights?

Just nice to know which store people are choosing and why, I'm torn between the two, I wonder how stock levels differ in each store....

First of all, I'm just going to assume that you're using Mac OS X only, and if you're not, just ignore my post :) .
The first step in repartitioning your drive is backing up all your data that you want, but seeing that you bought a new Mac, that might be nothing...
Second, take your Mac OS X install disk and put it in the computer and boot it up holding down the 'C' key. That will boot your computer from the CD.
As soon as you have control over the computer after bootup, go to the Installer menu (I'm not sure that's the one... it's whatever's between the Apple and Edit, if there's even an edit menu there...) and select "Disk Utility"
When that loads, select the "Partition" tag and then select your drive. It should be pretty apparant how to setup the partitions you want from there. My suggestion is to reserve about 4-5 gigs of the drive for your Mac OS X and some apps, and then you could partition the rest anyway you want. Either by subject, client, product, whatever... I'm not into graphic design so I don't really know...
Anwyays, after you've set that up, click Partition and it'll erase everything and repartition it for you.
Oh, and make sure that your OSX disk is an install disk not an upgrade disk! You won't be able to reinstall OSX after you partition if that's so...
Anyways, hope that helps. I'm sure others have some things to add or change, so listen to them :)
