try Senuti (iTunes spelt backwards) can copy everything off your iPod onto your computer.
Will this work for me? My OLD iPod has like 1000 songs but the iTunes library was wiped like 5 years ago.

I just got my refurbished imac. I wasn't aware that there was something called migration assistant and I'm still not sure exactly how it works. I do have a Macbook Pro and it would be great if I could move everything to my desktop. Since I don't have a firewire cable, i will have to get it tomorrow. Before I try this, though, I wanted to make sure I understand it (and I apologize in advance if this is a really dense question but I am not very technical savvy).
Will the migration assistant basically move everything from my macbook to my desktop? I'm talking software like Adobe CS5 and MS Office along with files?
Any information is appreciated.
Yes it will move everything.
If you have a network cable you can run between the two computers and will be faster than FireWire. You can change the method from FireWire to network.
I used this method to move everything from my 2008 iMac and worked perfectly.

^ Usually it's the high-resolution that causes eye strain, not the other way around.
Maybe it's the actual screen size that has become too small for you?

Subclass your views that you want to be touchable and add the "touch" code to those sub-classed new "custom" UIViews. Take the code out of your primary view controller.
Basically, you create a new Objective C class and make it a UIView instead of a NSObject class. Then, just add your view via code as you normally would. It will act exactly like a regular view, but all the touch events for it will be sent to your custom class.

I must say that I love some of your work! The cat is the cutest thing, and the flora-women in the Regatta section are great!
I'm not able to advice you on how to get back to your creative roots. I'm trying to figure out what direction I should take in life, myself.

That's a tough call and a personal decision involving the trade off between power and portability.
Which would bother you more:
-not having a computer with you during the occasional times you travel, or
-not having the power of the iMac the majority of the time, when you're at home?
Personally, I think sacrificing the power of the iMac just so I had a laptop for the infrequent times I travel would bother me more. I prefer to purchase the type of computer that I need the majority of the time.
Of course, this is only valid if the difference in power between the MBP and the iMac you're considering is significant enough to notice.

Are you talking about the Time Capsule? If so, why not connect it via USB to your Mac directly and try Disk Utility then?
Or try this: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/1689025?threadID=1689025
found via "wiping time capsule (http://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=wiping+time+capsule&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8)"

I would advise against doing so, as you risk the security of your data and your Mac by running applications from an untrusted source where trojans and other malware could be bundled or hidden, but you also run the risk of not being able to update your software in the future.

Before you delete the account as Morod gave instructions on, make sure you check in the Advanced tab under Accounts. What you are checking on is to see whether 1) Mail removes the emails from the server after downloading, and 2) at what point it does so. If it doesn't remove emails from the server or if it only does so after a day/week/month you can delete the account with no harm/foul. If you login to your webmail access and find that your messages are no longer accessible there, that's where things get complicated. I'm hoping for your sake that they are still on the website.

On WWDC Eve, we at TUAW are hard at work keeping an eye out for the unknown and unexpected. We just received a tip showing what appears to be the Mac Nano computer that we've all wanted -- and it looks to be aimed towards the developer crowd.
The pictures appear to show a Mac geared towards developers on Windows and Linux systems. "Leave Windows behind. Build your Apps for OS X" states the title. While we are extremely cautious about rumors like these right before WWDC, we did have a rumor that a "new Mac" or at least an updated Mac might be released.

Not #4, The last time I did that my G5 Electrocuted me, and it wouldn't boot for a week!
I ned to get typing and do a few more classic pages! The plan is interesting, I just don't know how to work with the software well enough to help implement it!
I know even less about the software, but my Mac 512K requires a good bath every now and again.

Hey all,
I've been working on a site for a DJ, www.djmickster.nl .
Everything was working fine, until he himself began to change some things, and now when I open it in Safari, it starts downloading the file 'spl.php' and when I open the site in Internet Explorer it says 'You do not have the plug-in needed to view the "application/hta" type information on this page. To get the plug-in now, click View Plug-in Page.'
It's not supposed to do this and hasn't done this before.
I can't figure out what's causing this, does anybody have any ideas?
any help would be very much appreciated,
greetings
