Where are you in the world?
Maryland, USA
pic of the ray bans? :D
Here they are. As well as pictures of the LCD. As you can see the scratch is barely noticeable, especially when the display is on. Pictures of the External HD can be found in this thread (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=450028).

I notice that a few here already have received their new refreshed 2011 iMacs.
Can you please give the rest of us an assessment of any screen issues.
eg. yellowing/smudges/dead pixels that plagued some of the 2010 iMacs.
Thanks..
Sorry but why the heck post this now ???
The screen problem arises after the iMac has been used for 6-12 months NOT when they are brand new !!!

Ordered my first ever iMac yesterday, 27'' top bto, with i7, and 2gig graphics. Cannot wait.
I have spare ram from one of my macbooks, 2x 2GB modules, but they are 1033?, would they be compatable?

Perhaps, if the project supported more than Windows machines, it would be possible to help.
It appears that the software behind it does work on Mac OS X, though. Maybe they just need to update the information on their FAQ page.

I had the Toshiba SSD, and upgraded to the OWC SSD (basically same speed as the faster Samsung SSD). I'd never be able to tell the difference between them speed wise. Its nothing to worry about.

If I were you I'd make the whole sig a link. Easier for people to click on it if they can click anywhere in the sig ;)
Thanks :)
Since you should be able to access the MarketPlace, you could put it in there as well. Just post the eBay link and possibly some details (e.g. only through eBay with PayPal). I took a look and others were doing the same so I assume it's allowed (didn't see anything in the rules either).
Just a thought if you want more publicity to your auction
Good idea, cheers.

I'm looking at picking up a Mac Mini as a HTPC and dropping cable, but then I realized my 42" plasma only supports 1024x768 resolution.
I'm guessing this won't exactly be optimal, so I'm weighing whether to get a better tv. I don't really want to have to spend the extra money on a new set, so I'm hoping I could get some opinions as to how dismal the experience will be with my current set up.
Thanks!
Mac OS X is survivable at that resolution. After all, it wasn't that long ago that all Apple's 12" Portables shipped at that resolution (Including the PowerBook G4 12" and iBook 12" until Mid - 2006), however that is rather sub-optimal, especially if you want to view any widescreen content.

Hi all,
I am going to buy the iPad 2 64GB 3G in the US (the AT&T version).
I'd like to make sure the iPad is free of any logo...can you confirm there is no AT&T logo on the iPad2?
Thanks

I'm assuming you are going to get a laptop, and Apple doesn't have very many options once the computer is built. I would post what you are going to use your computer for, and then get advice on which options add to your computer. Once you have it built, your pretty much limited to upgrading the RAM, and if you just buy a gig you can't really go wrong.
I would just skip the book, and get advice from this site.

I was planning on exchanging my black for white...but now I'm having second thoughts based on the fact that I just realized that if I install a power support crystal film on the white version, the dirt and grime that sticks to the sides will be very very visible as opposed to barely noticeable on the black version.
I love the power support film on my black on as the feel is nearly indistinguishable from the naked glass and it has left my black one in pristine condition. I would like to have the same protection thats practically invisible...but I don't want to have a phone that will end up looking filthy on the edges.... I realize one could replace the film once it got too noticeable, but power support isn't cheap.I don't want a case, I've done perfectly fine without one so far....
I would like to hear some thought about this dilemma and/or suggestions!
one of many reasons to stay away from white electronics.
as cheap as the backs are (didn't someone say they're about $30?), i'd just go naked and swap the back out if it gets scratched up too bad.

Windows Movie Maker should be free, and it is included in Windows XP SP 3 as far as I know.

I searched for this topic, but couldn't find it. I'm trying to join tracks in iTunes, I've done this many times before, but it's been a while. For some reason, the option to do this under the menu is grayed out. Am I missing something? I can't get this to work! I'm using 4.7.1. Thanks for the help.

Unless you really need it now, its worth the wait. Better hardware for the same price, why not?

I thought as Grapher is so complex and functional if you know what you are doing that it's worth creating a guide (http://guides.macrumors.com/Using_Grapher), it's not great so far but using the math mode button at the top I don't get equations, (which are kinda needed for this topic ;) ) can we get math support added please?
Or Matlab would be good. Never knew this function existed, i will stay with MAtlab but thanks for making me aware this exists........

I recently got the Revolve xeMini Plus charging kit for my iPhone. Now, I can recharge in the car, from the wall, with solar, from the computer, or even from the internal backup battery. It's been a life saver more than once! Highly recommended!
Check it out at: http://www.revolveusa.com/index.php?p=1_17
Interesting, I think I'll be asking for one of those for Christmas :)

Hi there,
Nope! This is a completely different set. The original one from DOD was a 5 MB set while this one is 98MB.
