Probably need to use sudo texteditor to open the file.
For web testing only, you are better off with MAMP.

My goal is to find a USB dongle kit that I can use to make the xbox 360 Guitar Hero 2 guitar wireless. What I'm looking for is 2 USB dongles, similar to what come with many wireless mice. One would plug into the 360 console, the other would accept a mail USB cable from the guitar. I will then cut and shorten the USB cable on the guitar, add a battery pack for power, and an on/off switch.
I've been looking around but can't find a USB wireless kit like I am trying to find. Anyone have an idea of where I can look? Or am I just crazy in trying to do this?

Seems funny they would make a typo like that :D
No that was ExtremeMac hahaha.

You can partition your hard drive using Disk Utility and then install Windows onto the new partition. Just remember to name the partition into something that you'll recognise easily during the Windows install, such as BOOTCAMP, and format it as MS-DOS.
But if BCA can't make contiguous space, Disk Utility won't be able to either. (They both call the same underlying helper utilities).
You need to boot from your OS X install disc and run Disk Utility from that for it to be any different than the results from Boot Camp Assistant.
The other difference to keep in mind when installing without BCA, is that the Startup Disk won't be set to Windows so you will have to hold Alt/Option to select the appropriate boot drive every time it wants to reboot until you get it installed.

And you really expect someone here is going to answer that for you?
Of course not. I wasn't expecting a serious answer, just like I'm sure theprizefight wasn't really expecting a serious answer to his "Where the hell is iLife 07?" question either.

I was really expecting it to be released yesterday, especially with those reports a couple weeks ago of it being seeded to the devs.

I basically use Google Voice for:
1. unlimited text. save me from paying AT&T 20$ a month
2. web-based voice mail
3. give out my GV number instead of my home & cell phone numbers

Well your icon at Tibathon looks like a rip off of Adium's icon ;)
Just kidding. I agree about it being a rip off of SmoothOperator. I find it odd that this even got posted to MacBytes.
hehe I do not deny I am using the Adium duck ad my avatar :)
I thought it was odd too..kind of came out of no where.
I am surprised that the theme was even posted on adium too...Im surprised the author of smooth operator has not said something - but others seem to be bringing it up.

While I believe it might suit an Apple PC (and a PC bought by me) because of the stronger integrated graphics, I two find it highly unlikely that Apple would switch some of their PC's from Intel to AMD. It requires them to optimize pretty much everything they release for both.
On a sidenote, when AMD recently stated they were shipping their first Llano processors, it was predicted that OEM's will release Fusion-based machines not before june and I'm thinking new mini's will come next week with the iMacs (not that that's certain yet but hey, a man can dream right?). These two don't really match up, no matter how much I want them to.
Edit: Also, any ideas about Fusions TDP?

Really :-) look again
Wow! Glad I went and looked! Best $.99 I have spent in a while!
Yet another reason why a JBed iPad is a must. I feel sorry for those with stock iPads.
Thanks!!

New site section: MacRumors Shop (http://shop.macrumors.com/)
And new associated forum: Mac Shop - Items of Interest (http://forums.macrumors.com/forumdisplay.php?forumid=51)
This is not a traditional shop or store. Instead, it provides sponsored links to various venders as well as items of interest (mac or not mac related).
The purpose is to provide regular readers another method to support the site. Supporting the linked sponsors helps support this site... but does not require a direct contribution.
Cost of items bought at various stores are the same to the reader. So, there is no disadvantage in purchasing items via the Shop.
In other news... the Frosted Contributor's Mug is out of stock and may not be returning.
Official (frontpage) announcement to follow....

I recently switched over to Safari from Camino. I love everything about Safari, except when I open 8 new tabs in a window with 9 or more tabs, the last few tabs are closed. Is there any way to stop these extra tabs from closing? It never did that in Camino.
Thanks in advance,
