Its interesting to see Microsoft's strategy on this - I think its only a good thing that somebody is trying to look at the whole player/content ecosystem in the same way that Apple have...that competition can only be a good thing surely?
However...some of the comments do seem to suggest they already expect to be losing the battle though - surely if you really thought you could compete with iPod/iTunes you would be a little bolder? Makes it sound half-hearted, and thats a shame.

AT&T has hands down the worst service I have ever experienced.
It is as though they were operating in an emerging mobile phone world sometime in the early 80's when phones were the size of a Sat phone or you carried it in its own portable case.
In all the years I was with Verizon I had maybe 10 dropped calls.
They should be ashamed of themselves. But really what do they care, they have the iphone exclusively for the time being.
I must say this reflects poorly on Apple who picked these idiots in the first place.
Honestly, on a day to day basis, I think about going back and just giving up, the service is just terrible and I live in NYC! Where there are towers everywhere, and I usually have 5 bars.
Despicable profit seeking, customer service unfriendly whores is what they are!

It didn't take my 10 year old son long to figure out that he could continue to download apps after asking me to download one for him. Now, if he wants a free app, I wait for it to finish downloading and then i log out of my account before i hand his touch back to him! :mad:

So many people just love to see every issue from the Apple perspective. There are people who get paid for that. Should not you - as a consumer - care more about the gadget you want than Apple success?

Based on past events, Apple has generally held an OS Preview event in March/April and 3 months later released the final Software along side new Hardware. If this time around the OS Preview is not coming until June, then I believe that new Hardware will get released along side the new Software 3 months later during their September media event.
This Summer is going to be about Lion.

No thanks I allready built myself a HTPC which will be better than anything Apple do unless they add OS X into a tv. Even then Id still prefer my HTPC because it runs Windows 7.
