Well folks. Theres our winner. I LOVE that. So simple, so effective and so excellently shot. Music is perfect for it. Kudos my man, I love it. :D
Must agree tho, Apple font. But thats like saying Jodie Kidd isnt perfect coz she has a spot on her arse. It's far, far, far from a big deal.

I have a couple of AMD quads and I know they would not be able to handle bigadv units, though it is possible the new chips might work ok. AMD don't have 2 threads per core, so the OS thinks there are only 4 cores instead of the 8 with Intel chips. My phenom II x4 965 did really well with regular units under Linux but now that I have 3 gpu's on it with windows - not so much...
have you tried SMP2 in windows yet with it?
yeah i'm thinking i'll just wait on another system for now. it really stinks that all my folders are down back at my apartment

You will only get 1,100 PPD at best on that machine... That is with the SMP bonus!
Oh wow. That's no better than my ps3. Yeah I won't be folding with that machine.

The classic software dilemma: Do it for free but spend some time learning; or pay a few bucks for ease of use.
I'd suggest googling some more. You should find a good rsync tutorial that can walk you through the various options.

I recently dropped my 3rd generation Nano and busted the screen on it. I've been wanted to get a new ipod for a while seeing as my 11GB of music (and constantly growing, not to mention videos) no longer fits on the 8GB nano.
I figured I might as well go for a classic instead of getting a 16GB nano that I'd fill up again soon enough. I really don't see myself getting to 160GB of music/videos any time soon so I'm looking into getting a previous version of the ipod classic (either 120GB or 80GB).
After looking around I found a refurbished 120GB classic on Amazon for $140 and a refurbished 80GB classic for $150. Clearly I'd go for the 120 GB of these two, but I wanted to ask on here if anyone has any input on buying a refurbished ipod? I've never bought a refurbished electronic before but it seems like the best of both worlds to me (price and condition). Is there anything that would make this not true or anything I should look out for? Thanks!

Apple seeded 10.5.2 9c16 half an hour ago with some issues remaining to be fixed. I'm assuming 10.5.2 is not ready yet. So wait couple more weeks.

I find it terribly amusing that the author of this article chose to discourage e-mail harvesting (I assume) by putting his e-mail address in this form: "kpollock [at] macommunity.com", but then hyperlinked it with a standard 'mailto:' tag with a normally formatted e-mail address, something harvesters are exceedingly good at finding.
Their "macoverage" site appears like it's just going to be yet another rehashing of what's already all out there.

Well... I sold the iPhone... but get this.. my Nokia Luna got stolen the other day... stupid me for letting it slip out of my pocket at a crowded restaurant.
As soon as I realized it was stolen I tried to call it, the asswipe turned it off, and I was barely out of the door already.
Sad week for me

Bricking means you make your iPhone completely unusable. So unusable it doesn't even turn on, go into DFU mode, or run in any noticeable way. There is no way to brick an iDevice, unless you are a very experienced dev wanting to do so.

You don't have an iOS device? Just turn on airplane mode and test your app.

A tad late to the party, are we?
I like your strategy though. Wait until the contest gets down to the final few and then jump in! Brilliant!
Thanks for the encouragement... ;)
I wasn't jumping into anything - I just thought I'd input my ideas.
And yes... I like to think I'm brilliant too!

Just a thought, but it's possible that the OP types faster than the average user, which could also explain why he's seeing lag that the rest of us don't.

Hi All,
So I purchased 6 Macintosh Color Classic's for $15 each with Apple IIe cards and Apple Ethernet cards. They are in excellent condition. They came with 60mb HDs. I would like to upgrade the HD with something bigger. What I would like to get is a SCSI to IDE to Compact Card convertor. I have seen some SCSI to IDE convertors. Ideally I would pop in a Compact Flash Card and partition it. What would really be cool is to remove the internal HD and replace it with a Compact Flash Reader and add a slot in the front so I can swap them out and boot.
Do any of you know of a product that will work and have actually used? I know there are some, but I want to be certain it will work with the Classic.
Thanks,
WillGonz

If you're going to be working with large quantities of images, it's time to get the right tool for the job. A proper image manipulation program like photoshop can batch process many images in one go, and can for sure do what you need. There are also some free or cheaper alternatives you could try. The GIMP might be able to do it, I'm pretty sure imageJ can, also I am not sure if Photoshop elements can do batch processing but I have done similar things with graphicconverter.

I love my 4G Touch, but I worry that I might squish it. It is so thin. When traveling, I usually carry my iPod in a pouch in my backpack. There are usually a few heavy books in the bag as well. Now, it is seems possible for the weight of the books to bear on the iPod in such a way that it damages it. It might seem far-fetched, but I've incapacitated a Garmin GPS unit in this way. So, I'm looking for something that'd provide some sort of protection against this. I'm mostly worried about the glass screen, as it seems like it'd be the weakest link here. I suppose I'm not after a case, per se, more of a protective shell or tote bag. Anybody know of anything good?
Plan B is to use the case that the iPod came in. But I'm not sure if it will fit after I put a Grip Vue on it.

That, my friend, is an iPod mini.
EDIT: DAMN YOU BURNS!!!! lol
I will also add that it's a refurb mini and is definitely not "sealed" since you opened it.
