What AdrianK says is correct. If you can find "3rd party" servers that run an older version of the game pre 4.0, then you should be able to play just fine. Unfortunately, playing on the official servers will no longer be possible, due to blizzard removing the ppc executable from the game.

Photos from Apple's booth at Macworld San Francisco 2007. The iPhone was on display but only within a rotating display case. It did appear connected to power and did have live images on it.
Beyond that, it could not be used or interacted with.
The iTV was setup and being demoed.

Anyone find a decent, easy to use compare folders app for Snow Leopard?
I've googled and all I can find are old, not updated, or look rubbish.
I want to basically compare 2 folders (one on Mac HDD, one on a NAS), and then sync between them. Mostly the NAS one wont be updated, ie I copy my photos to Mac HDD, backup to TM, and then also another copy to NAS for safekeeping.
Has anyone found one please. Preferably free, but willing to pay for a decent program
cheers

i hate sync with a passion. who the hell wants to navigate your music library using the indash radio? it's an arduous task even when using the Ford Edge / Lincoln MKX LCD touch screen. why the hell does Apple program the iPad to lock up when connected to sync?

Has anyone at the show done 'About This Mac' on a MacBook Air?
I would have thought that the new trackpad options would need new software, but I'm guessing someone would have noticed by now.
(Unless they are just using a bespoke 10.5.1 for the show models, and 10.5.2 will come out when they are actually shipped...?)

Hi again mates.
Well, i bought finally the 160GB 6th gen classic.
I realised that the volume is frustrating low, compare to my 80GB (probably USA version)
I googled a lot the last 3 days for this issue but it seems to me that at the moment there is no actually solution to remove the volume limit-cap.
I would like you to tell me if someone knows a way to fix it
The 160Gb is late 2009 model
I bought it at a bargain price and i don't really want to sell it and to look for a US version....
thanks!

Hi folks, I was looking at buying a mac mini server edition, but I was wondering with the upcoming release of 10.7 in summer will a new 10.7 server edition of OSX be released simultaneously? Or does it follow a few months later? Upgrading the server license is expensive so I'd rather have the up to date software if it's coming out within a year, and I don't need the server badly or anything, it's mostly just to mess around with (first server for me).
On another note, how do people like the mac mini server? Is it reliable enough even with the same components?
There will almost definitely be a 10.7 server at the same time as 10.7. As far as reliability, it is a mac mini running OSXS. How often do your mac minis need repair? (Mac mini actually has the lowest failure rate of any model computer Apple sells.) I use my server for testing/learning/trying crazy things. I'm a Linux and Mac SysAdmin. However, aside from educational use, I see absolutely no point for most home users to have a mac mini server.

You'll be throwing your money away if you do that.
Like everything on a Mac it's very simple and easy to do it yourself.

He can keep it. Expensive private gifts are discouraged to prevent corruption through bribery. The iPhone was presented openly as personal gift.
Under anti-corruption rules backed by Medvedev, government officials are only allowed to accept gifts that cost less than 3,000 rubles ($100), and iPhone 4 pre-orders in Russian online shops range from 85,000 to 95,000 rubles ($2,700 to $3,000).
The phone, which will not go on sale in Russia before this fall, retails for up to $600 in the United States.
A Kremlin spokeswoman said Thursday that the iPhone was a personal gift to Medvedev so he could do with it as he pleased. Reminded of the gift rules, she said the restrictions applied to gifts accepted in private.
This is different because the iPhone is a gift presented to the president officially in an open setting, she said.

If anyone comes here looking for an answer to something similar, I solved my issue to my satisfaction.
Looking back over what I did, I noticed I hadn't compiled ffmpeg with libfaac enabled. After doing so, I find that the following converts the mts to mp4 with 160kb/s aac audio (the ac3 source is 192kb/s), no distortion:
ffmpeg -i <file>.mts -vcodec copy -ab 160k <file>.mp4
Since it's just a point-and-shoot camera, I realized I'm not missing much converting from ac3 to aac, so a single aac audio stream is good enough.

This page http://guides.macrumors.com/Special:Wantedpages is useless.
The creation of those footers that link to every Mac is certainly a good idea, however, it really distorts the Wanted Pages thing and makes it hard to figure out what to work on.
I propose we either:
1. Un-link the unfinished articles in the footers (for now!)
2. Form a tiger-team and knock out ALL those missing Mac/iPod/whatever pages in short order, so that "WantedPages" gets back to random stuff.

I'm hoping Apple develops a version of WINE for Mactel and builds it into the OS. Imagine being able to run most Windows applications on the Mac...
If Apple doesn't do it, I bet somebody else does eventually,

I doubt you actually need to sync the entire drive, isn't it more likely you just need to sync home folders?
In any case, I recommend Chronosync. It isn't automatic, but it works great and allows you to sync 'folders' between machines on a network. I use it to sync basic documents between my two machines.

Make a group containing the people you want to have access to the documents, then set the group folder to mount/dock automatically for users of this group. Then transfer the contents you want to share into this new shared folder.
That way you can keep personal documents private and share those documents you need to. Also if it's a work network you can add and remove users from the group as you need to, and they will be granted/denied access automatically.
As an example, both my partner and myself are on a charitable trust committee, so at home we have a family group which contains all the information for us both to access.
Hope this helps.
