I am not too keen on this "cartoony" 3D effect Apple seem to be going for.
Torn off pages� faux-leather binding� I mean doesn't anyone else think it is a bit corny?
It really does seems as if the cutesyeness of the iOS is spreading over to OSX.
I'd prefer a clean modern OS with usability first and foremost.

Most people with a mac also have ios devices, why not make it a bit more consistant?

I've got a question for you guys. Any of you Mac users that also run Windows on a box somewhere:
Are any of you really going to upgrade to Vista when it comes out? or are you going to wait at least a year?

MBP = 4 years old
iMac = 3 years old
And both will be upgraded to Lion. No problems yet , even 1080p content plays well, slight lag to catch up when RWD or FF other than that no problems. :)
Apple do have some great lines. My iMac is 5 years old yet I just finished Portal 2 (in Bootcamp, medium settings at native res. Overclocked GPU), I've developed and tested HD games, watched HD films on it, managed very large data libraries (iPhoto; 50gb. iTunes; 320gb). Still runs just fine.
Infact I could have survived another year on it if the DVD drive didn't recently pack in.

Apple's new release timeframe has zero to do with phone upgrade eligibility. Thus BS. And I bet AT&T call center people are so tired of Apple owners they probably make shite up just to mess with their minds and they sit around the lunchroom telling the stories. :p

It looks like the menu text default has dropped from 14pt Lucida Grande in Tiger to 13pt Lucida Grande in Leopard -- a welcome change.

Amazon sells mostly LAME encoded 256kbs mp3 files, which are pretty comparable to the AAC files ITMS sells. AAC may have a slight advantage (for example see http://www.head-fi.org/forum/thread/271330/256-vbr-aac-vs-320-mp3-vs-256-vbr-mp3#post_3459768), but not much.

I think it's pretty clear now that we won't really know what "the iPhone comes to Verizon" fully means until next year. Too many variables to learn anything quickly.

Do some google searches on the pros and cons. The glossy has a sharper image with brighter colors. It even has less glare under some circumstances.

The fact is, we've been through this before. The iPhone 1 was going to be a huge failure because it didn't have 3G. They were concerned about coverage and battery life. It's the same issue now.
People are saying apple should make those sacrifices now to keep up with technology. But nobody is addressing the fact that apple has historical evidence that this is a sound approach.
So many people just love to see every issue from the Apple perspective. There are people who get paid for that. Should not you - as a consumer - care more about the gadget you want than Apple success?
Using two separate chips eats battery life. Not to mention LTE is still "just" coming out, so it won't be widespread enough to take advantage of it until 2012 anyway.
Apple does not have to use two chips. They could just design separate phone for Verizon (just like iPhone 4) which does not support GSM. Not ideal but that's where technology is today. At least Verizon customers could enjoy iPhone 5 with LTE.

The first turn is tough since we don't have much to go on. I would have voted for Jav if I was responding to a vote for me but I figure he's still very pissed at me for getting his WW hung last game (he said I was very annoying last game so he probably considers me his new Aggie :D ). However, it is possible that he's a WW trying to get rid of me (like last game).
In your case, I have to agree with Appleguy that your voting post was somewhat strange like the last game when you were a WW. That's why I switched my vote to you.

Even if Amazon has 69 cent songs, I will likely continue buying on iTunes. Over the past year, most music has been purchased on my iPhone while I am out. Can't do that with Amazon.
Blame The fact that Apple won't allow a competing service in it's market. On my Android phone I can use the Amazon mp3 app to purchase music, download it to my phone immediately or stream it from amazon. It goes into my Amaozon locker meaning I can go to any computer and download it there at any point in the future. Instant access from multiple devices, except my one iOS device.
